Iran says it built drone that Hezbollah flew over Israel
Iran's defence minister said on Sunday that the unmanned drone flown by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah over Israel was made in the Islamic Republic, dpa reported.
"It was an achievement of Iran and the Islamic resistance, which broke the so-called "Iron Dome" over the airspace of the Zionist regime," Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency.
"With this action, Hezbollah has proved that it is ready to fend off any Zionist aggression," he added.
Hezbollah, which fought a war with Israel in 2006, said this week it flew the drone over the Jewish state. The drone was destroyed by Israeli aircraft over southern Israel last week.
