Director of Ports and Navigation Office of Bandar (port) Langeh said that a vessel was hit by lightning on Tuesday and completely burnt, IRNA reported.
Esmaeil Makki-zadeh told reporters that the 400-ton vessel, which was carrying 25 thousand and 470 tires from the United Arab Emirates, was completely burnt.
He added that firefighters and other rescue boats put out the fire and did not let it spread to other vessels in the harbour.
The incident had no fatalities, the official said.
