Iran gives priority to border issues, Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Sunday, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with Governor General of southeastern Sistan-Balouchestan Province, Salehi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has focused on border trade and border security as the factors guaranteeing welfare and well-being of the population living in the border provinces.
Sistan-Baluchestan had been the scene of deadly terrorist explosions in a mosque and against a bus carrying personnel of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.
He added that he is accompanied by the Interior Ministry officials in charge of security affairs and campaign against smuggling goods and illicit drugs through borders of southeastern Iran.
