Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has addressed the Islamic Awakening Conference in Iran today, Press TV reported live.
Khamenei welcomed the scholars, professors and other distinguished quests who attended the opening of the conference that will last from April 29 to April 30.
The Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution wished for better prosperity to all Muslims, and noted that the issue of Islamic Awakening tops the international issues in the Islamic World.
Khamenei added that the Islamic Awakening is an important phenomenon that successfully continues on its path, and will help the Islamic civilization to go on top.
"Whatever is before us today, no informed man can deny the fact that Islam today has moved from the sidelines of social equation, and gained a very prominent status in the world," Khamenei said. "After the fall of Communism and liberalism, this is a very important phenomenon that promises even greater things in the future."
The Leader noted that world powers avoid speaking about the Islamic Awakening since they fear it, adding that today the youth is being informed on the true nature of the hegemonic powers.
"For more than 200 years these powers have been dominating, they have actually been brutalizing the nature of Islamic Nations," he said. "Among the achievements of Islamic Awakening, we've seen the results in some African nations, and that can lead to even better results in the future. It is a promising sign."
Khamenei went on to say that when Islam emerged victorious in Iran, it shattered the stronghold of the United States, and all of Iran's achievements happened because of the people, and the blessings from God.
"Today, this precious experience is within our reach, so we can stand to the arrogant powers, resist them and have patience and reliance in God's promises. This way we will be able to pave the way of pride, until reaching the peak of the Islamic civilization," Khamenei said.
The Leader further spoke of the scholars that played key roles in the development of different countries.
"The scholars have always been the source of thoughts and patience to people. We've witnessed great development, as scholars guided people, and stood up against dangers," Khamenei said. "There has always been an intellectual bond between the scholars and people, as they guided the people towards correct path."
Khamenei added that this has always been worrying to the enemies of Islamic laws, and urged the scholars to be vigilant, prudent, and to watch out for the enemy plots.
"Today, at the time when the promising movements of the Islamic Awakening are taking shape, we are seeing some actions by the U.S. and Israel, who try to take the scholars off the right path, that's why they should remain vigilant," Khamenei said.
Khamenei noted that Iran is not enemies with any nation because of geographic location, and added that Iran would stand to oppression, brutality and corruption that was brought by the colonial powers.
