Earthquake hits Iran

An earthquake measuring 4.4 occured in the Iranian province of Hormozgan, ISNA news agency reported today.
The earthquake occurred at 10:04 local time, the Seismological Centre under the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University reported.
The epicentre was at a depth of eight kilometres.
There is no information on any human loss and destruction.
