Some 84.5 percent of Iranians aged 18 to 29 years are in favor of temporary marriage, Iranian Shargh newspaper reported citing Iran's Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry's study.

According to the study which has conducted tests among 3000 young people of Iran's 14 cities, about 62.9 percent of Iranian youth avoid temporary marriage due to fear of bad reputation.

During the last several years, number of websites which offer temporary marriage services to Iranians has increased.

Officials did not announce any exact statistics about the temporary marriage and marriage counseling websites, while the activity of such websites has raised a lot of criticism in the country.

Iranian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has plans to legalize marriage counseling centers in the country.

Official of Iranian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Masoud Amini said in July that, some 600 applications have been submitted to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports linked to marriage counseling centers.

According to the report, Cyber Police will be informed about authorized marriage counseling centers, and names of legal centers will be put on the portal of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Iran's Cyber Police (FATA) will start preventing activity of illegal marriage counseling centers, starting from October.
