Some 1.1 billion liters of gasoline consumed in Iran in 15 days

Some 1.119 billion liters of gasoline were consumed in Iran in the first half of the sixth Iranian calendar month of Shahrivar (August 23-September 6), the Tasnim News Agency reported.
The figure showed no considerable change compared to the corresponding figure in its previous 15-day period which was 1.162 billion liters.

However, gasoline consumption rose by 16.11 percent compared to the first half of the fifth calendar month of Mordad (July 23-August 6).

Iran's average gasoline consumption stood at 68 million liters per day from the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21) till September 7, IRNA quoted managing director of Iran's oil products distribution company Mostafa Kashkouli as saying on Sunday.

The amount shows 7.4 percent increase compared to the same period in the past year, he added.

He predicted that gasoline consumption will surpass 75 million liters per day in the current calendar month of Shahrivar (ending September 22).

Iran's gasoline consumption in the fifth calendar month of the current year (July 22-August 21) stood at 2.128 billion liters.

The country's average gasoline consumption was 68.648 million liters in the mentioned month, a little less than its preceding month's figure of 68.865 million liters.
Iran's average gasoline consumption stood at around 71.6 million liters per day in the previous Iranian calendar year.
