The concerns on Iran-US negotiations being affected by Israel's position are pointless, U.S. State Department's Persian-speaking spokesman Alan Eyre told Trend.

It should be noted that last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged President Barack Obama, during talks at the White House, to keep up tough sanctions on Iran until there is "verifiable success" that it had addressed Western concerns about its nuclear programme.
The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.

"The U.S. consults wit hits allies, which include Israel, and as Mr. Obama and US Secretary of State John Kerry repeatedly said, the US government is committed to pursuing a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear issue," Eyre underscored.

He went on to say that the U.S. puts hopes upon Iranian president Hassan Rouhani and his administration, adding that it is time for action and negotiations.
