A relatively strong quake measuring 5.0 on Richter scale jolted surrounding area of Khousf in south Khorasan province of Iran on Friday evening, IRNA reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 21:47 hours local time (18:17 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 32.94 degrees latitude and 58.90 degrees longitude.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
