Iran, UAE to cooperate in campaign against drug-trafficking

Iranian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Reza Fayaz said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and UAE have made planning to develop cooperation in campaign against drug-trafficking, IRNA reported.

Iranian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Reza Fayaz said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and UAE have made planning to develop cooperation in campaign against drug-trafficking, IRNA reported.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran and UAE have currently excellent consular cooperation.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 8th joint commission on consular cooperation.

He said that Iran and UAE have developed regional and international cooperation and created difficult situation for the drug traffickers.

IRNA reported that 25 representatives from the Iranian and UAE organizations have partaken in the 8th joint commission on consular cooperation.

The commission helped remove exiting barriers in various sectors, he said.

Such meetings help both sides identify problems and manage to remove them, he said.

The cooperation aims to toughen situation for drug traffickers, he said.

He expressed the hope that the achievements obtained through such cooperation would lead to enhanced trade and commerce.

The 8th Iran-UAE joint commission on consular cooperation kicked off on Tuesday and concluded work after signing 16 documents.
