UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned terrorist act in Saravan and expressed sympathy with victimsˈ families and condoled with Iran's government, IRNA reported.

To a question, UN Secretary General Spokesman Martin Nesirky on Thursday said that the secretary general had condemned recent terrorist attack in Saravan, Iran.

In a terrorist attack last Friday, 14 border guards were killed and six were injured by a terrorist group called Jaish-ol-Adl.

Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaei, by referring to the last Friday evening attack of the terrorist elements in the border city of Saravan, in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, called for immidiate action of the UN Security Council.

Khazaei, in a letter to the rotating chairman of the UNSC, reminded that appropriate reaction of the UN will have a strong message for terrorist groups and their supporters and tell them that criminal acts will not be tolerated in any time and place.
