The United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed will visit Iran on Nov. 28, Tasnim news portal reported.
The UAE`s FM will meet Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif as well as other Iranian officials during the visit which takes place at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart.
According to the report, bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues will be discussed during the visit.
The UAE maintains close economic ties with Iran. The country also has a significant Iranian community. However, there are tensions over three islands in the Persian Gulf between two countries. The UAE and Iran both lay claim to the islands of Abu Musa and Greater and Lesser Tunb.
