The nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1 group at the expert level in Vienna have ended with minor differences, a member of Iran's nuclear negotiating team who wished to remain anonymous, said, IRNA news agency reported on Dec. 13.

Additionally, Mehr news agency spoke to an anonymous diplomatic source from Iran's delegation, which said that Iran's delegation left after the US approved expanded sanctions on Iranian companies and individuals on Dec. 12.

The latest round of talks was held in Vienna on Dec. 10, with participation from Iran's senior officials, as well as officials from the U.S., China, UK, France, Germany, Russia, the EU and the IAEA.

The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical researches instead.

"There were minor differences, however the meeting ended well, and Iran's negotiating team returned to Tehran for further consultations," Iranian negotiating team member told IRNA.

He further said that sanctions on Iran's oil and bank sphere were also discussed at the meeting.

Iran's Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reza Najafi said after the meeting that the talks were "satisfactory and accompanied by progress".

On November 24, Iran and the G5+1 reached a deal in Geneva after days of hard work and intensive negotiations. After endorsing the agreement with the world powers, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined that the six world powers have recognized Iran's enrichment program.

It should be noted that prior to Dec. 10 meeting, inspectors from the UN's nuclear agency have visited Iran's Arak heavy water production plant for the first time in more than two years.

Iran has agreed to curb some nuclear activities for six months in return for sanctions relief. It has promised not to commission or fuel the Arak reactor during that time.
