Iran started a large-scale Air Force drill, named Fadaeean-e Harim-e Velayat 4, in the country's south on December 20, Mehr News Agency reported.

Brigadier General Hossein Chitforoush said that the latest defense products of the Iranian air force will be tested during the drill.

The two-day military exercise will be carried out in three main phases to test Iran's air defense achievements.

During the maneuvers, Iranian drones, fighter jets, anti-aircraft systems, and reconnaissance aircraft will practice modern defense tactics over the Persian Gulf.

Sa'eghe (lightning) fighter jet, as well as F14, F5, Sukhoi Su-24, Sukhoi Su-25, and Mirage were among the tested aircrafts.

Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and gained self-sufficiency in the production of essential military equipment in recent years. Tehran has repeatedly said that its military achievements are defensive and pose no threats to any other country.
