South Korean parliament speaker to visit Iran

High-ranking parliamentary delegations from South Korea and Mexico will visit Iran later this month, Hossein Sheikholeslam, international affairs advisor to Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said, Fars news agency reported on Jan. 10.

The South Korean delegation, led by the Speaker of South Korea's parliament Kang Chang-hee, is scheduled to visit Tehran on Jan. 28 to meet with Iranian diplomatic and parliamentary officials.

The South Korean Speaker who has been invited by his Iranian counterpart will meet with Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani as well as Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during the visit.

Sheikholeslam also went on to say that, the Mexican parliamentary delegation, headed by Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of Mexico's Congress) Eloy Cantu Segovia, will be hosted by head of the Foreign Policy and National Security Commission of the Iran's parliament, Alaeddin Boroujerdi.

The Mexican delegation is scheduled to meet with Iranian officials on mutual relations.
