By Rahim Zamanov - Trend:

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Feb. 11 that Iran will not be intimidated by threats.

"The nuclear negotiations with the P5+1 are a historic test for the United States and Europe," he said. Rouhani made the remarks addressing a rally in the Iranian capital, Tehran, which marks the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

"If they are committed to law, mutual respect and cooperation, Tehran will respond with the same approach," he added. Rouhani further noted that if the U.S. and Europe stick to previous inappropriate policies that would be detrimental to their own national interests and will also undermine global stability.

According to Iranian media outlets, millions of Iranians have taken to the streets to attend nationwide demonstrations.

Officials say over 100 foreign correspondents and about 200 local journalists are covering the ceremonies.
