Germanyˈs chief nuclear negotiator Hans-Dieter Lucas is to head to Iran later this week for informal talks on Tehranˈs nuclear issue, a German foreign ministry spokesman told IRNA on Monday, IRNA reported.

The politicial director of the German foreign minstry who is to embark on a visit to Iran from Friday through Sunday, is to prepare the next round of nuclear talks, due to be held in Vienna next week, with the Iranian side.

Iranˈs nuclear negotiating team is reportedly having a series of bilateral talks with diplomats from the six world powers ahead of next weekˈs Vienna meeting.

Meanwhile, Lucas will also attend a round-table discussion in Tehran on future relations between Iran and the West hosted by the prestigious Hamburg-based Koerber Foundation.

Titled ˈIran and the West: Perspectives for a Cooperationˈ, guests include 30 high-ranking politicians, government representatives and experts from Europe, the US and Iran.
