Middle Eastern Strategic Studies Institute in collaboration with Iranˈs Political Science Association held a meeting called ˈModeration and Extremism in the Middle East and Iranˈs Foreign Policy approach in this concernˈ on Sunday, IRNA reported.
The meeting was held in the presence of university professors, experts in international affairs and university students in the venue of Middle Eastern Strategic Studies Institute.
The participants considered roots and dimensions of radicalism in the Middle East and necessity for considering a moderate approach in the region.
Causes of emergence of Taliban, Al-Qaida and terrorist groups and reasons for recent problems in Iraq and effects of these crises on the region were among issues discussed in the meeting.
