TEHRAN, Iran, May 2. Iran's gasoline export via
its energy exchange has reached $2.3 billion while 10 million tons
of gasoline were traded in 2019 and 2020, said the Managing
Director of Iran Energy Exchange Ali Naghavi, Trend reports citing Mehr
News Agency.
"More than two million tons of gasoline was sold in 2019 and demand
increased to 8 million tons the following year," he said.
The first gasoline export via the Iran Energy Exchange started in
2019. Iran held the last sale of gasoline via the exchange in June
2021. The sales have been suspended since then.
According to the official, the increase of domestic gasoline consumption halted the export via energy exchange.
