A conference on state of Armenians after the collapse of Osmanly empire: scientific responsibility and realities of democracy brought a collapse to the Turkish scientific circles, Turkish media reports.
On Thursday it turned out that over 50 scientists signed a joint communiquГ©, which underlines that an invitation to the conference was sold to all adhered to the same historic trend, which is unacceptable for scientific discussions.
“The conference is not of scientific character, but pursues political objectives and any final statement adopted will be biased and tendentious. We once more call the participants in the conference to think over the steps taken,” the document underlines.
The staff of the organization committee of the 3-day conference, which is start at the Bosphorus University of Istanbul on Friday, includes several prominent scientists of Turkey.
Over 100 public figures, exerts and scientists of Turkey will deliver speech to the event.
