Iran Materials 2 May 2006 17:14 (UTC +04:00)

Russia and China officially announced to Teheran that they will not support sanctions against Iran, the Iranian foreign minister, Manuchehr Mottaki to in interview to Kayhan newspaper.

Russian and Chinese representatives announced during the talks that they are against sanctions and military involvement, Rosbalt reports. Mottaki does not believe that sanctions issue will be raised at UN Security council.

Nonetheless, western diplomats suppose that China and Russia will most likely support the UN resolution demanding Iran to stop its

nuclear studies.

Expectantly, USA, UK and French representatives in UN will make a decision about necessity to introduce sanctions against Iran in order to urge it suspending uranium enrichment works. Previously, Iranian ambassador to UN, Javad Zarif announced that Iran will not give up with such decision.

Supposedly, the United States will propose a resolution without any sanctions but opening the way for them in future. Zarif urged, that UN Security council is not a right place to discuss Iranian nuclear program as its entirely peaceful project.
