(Hurriyet) - With the crisis in Lebanon as a backdrop, Ankara has announced that preparations are underway for a visit by Syrian President Bashar Al Assad to Turkey at the end of this month. Assad will reportedly visit as the personal guest of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and will be accompanied by his wife, Esma, who is said to love Turkey very much, reports Trend.
Said Assad's Information Minister Ahid Abuzeyid, "The President told me that he missed Turkey very much."
