(IRNA) - Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad-Reza Sheibani in a meeting here on Thursday with Lebanese Premier Fouad Siniora presented a report on Iran's contribution to reconstruction of war-stricken regions of Lebanon.

The Iranian ambassador briefed Siniora on Iran's recent efforts for reconstruction of dilapidated schools, health centers, religious places and roads across the country and presented a report in this regard, reports Trend.

Sheibani said the report includes details of the reconstruction works done on the bridge Al-Assi in Hermel in southern Lebanon, indicating Iran's readiness to contribute to renovation of roads in some rural and urban areas.

The Lebanese prime minister welcomed Iranian proposals in this regard and thanked Iran's reconstruction plans in his country.

Following the 34-day Zionist ferocious assault on Lebanon, Iran sent a delegation headed by Vice President Ali Saeedlu to Lebanon to contribute to the restoration efforts across the country.

Dar-Al-Hekmah hospital, Al-Mahdi school, five mosques and several religious centers in Bekaa Province in eastern Lebanon are among places reconstructed by Islamic Republic of Iran.
