(Itar-Tass) - North Korea hasn't confirmed Japanese media reports that Pyongyang conducted a second nuclear test. Neither the country's Foreign Ministry nor the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea have confirmed or denied these reports.

The Korean Central Television Station and Radio also keep silent, reports Trend.

On Tuesday, the South Korean press published remarks of a North Korean official who said North Korea could conduct a second nuclear test but that would depend on the U.S. stance.

Japan's NHK state company reported on Tuesday that the Japanese government has information that North Korea had conducted a second nuclear explosion. Tokyo allegedly received information about a suspicious underground tremor in North Korea.

The official representatives of the administration of the South Korean president and the U.S. intelligence services have said they don't have any information about the second nuclear explosion in North Korea.
