President Ahmadinejad arrives in Kermanshah

(IRNA) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his cabinet, arrived in the western city of Kermanshah Tuesday for a three-day visit.

The president and his cabinet ministers, upon their arrival at Kermanshah airport, were warmly welcomed by senior local officials including the Supreme Leader's representative and Friday Prayer leader of the city of Kermanshah, the governor-general and the province's representatives in Majlis, reports Trend.

The president's current visit is his 23rd to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people.

During his three-day visit, the president is scheduled to meet with various Kermanshah officials, local residents of 14 cities, families of martyrs and war veterans and provincial elites.

He will preside over a cabinet session in Kermanshah city to discuss the province's problems and needs before he and his cabinet ministers return to Tehran on Thursday.

Provinces that have already been visited by him and his cabinet include South Khorasan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Ilam, Qom, Hormuzgan, Bushehr, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, Lorestan, Golestan, Kohgilouyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Khorassan Razavi, Zanjan, Markazi, Qazvin, Hamedan, East Azarbaijan, Tehran, North Khorassan, Kordestan, West Azarbaijan and Ardebil and Mazandaran.
