Iran's foreign minister in Kabul to review issues of mutual interest

(IRNA) - Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, heading a political delegation, arrived here early Thursday to review issues of mutual interest with senior Afghan officials.

Upon arrival at the Kabul International Airport, Mottaki and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by several Afghan Foreign Ministry officials.

During his two-day stay, Mottaki is to meet President Hamed Karzai, his counterpart Rangeen Dadfar Spanta, and several other Afghan officials, reports Trend.

Expansion of Tehran-Kabul political, economic and cultural relations will top the agenda of talks between the two sides.

A letter of understanding on second Iran-Afghanistan Joint Commission will also be inked and exchanged between the sides.

Several Foreign Ministry officials and a Majlis deputy are accompanying Mottaki in his Kabul visit.
