(AP) - Seeking to boost Mideast peace efforts, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will attend a three-way summit with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders in the coming weeks, U.S. officials said Monday.
The announcement came shortly after Rice wrapped up a brief visit to Israel and the West Bank, reports Trend.
A senior U.S. official in Rice's delegation said the "trilateral meeting" will be aimed at "having a conversation about the political horizon leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state." He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to reporters on the record.
