Asus is giving their latest offering -- the W6Fp notebook -- that special touch by wrapping the package in some beautifully textured leather. You'll find the cow's behind on the "top board" and the "palm rest part", whereas the rest of the laptop is your standard plastic and metal. To be available on January 30th, the Asus W6Fp will come pre-installed with Windows Vista, reports Trend.
Boasting a 13.3-inch widescreen LCD, this laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz) processor, backed up by an Intel 945GM Express chip set with integrated graphics, 1GB RAM standard (upgradable to 1.5GB), 120GB hard drive, and a super multi-DVD burner. All the connectivity goodies are in full tow as well, including a trio of USB 2.0 ports, IEE1394, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. Battery life is somewhere between 2.7 and 4.8 hours.
Expected street price for the presumably Japan-bound Asus W6Fp laptop is 249,800 Yen, or about US$2,073.
