(IRNA) - Iran and Kazakhstan here Thursday discussed avenues for expansion of trade and commercial cooperation.
Governor General of the northern Iranian Golestan Province Ali-Mohammad Shaeri met with Kazakh Ambassador to Iran Yerik Utembayev.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed to set up a joint company at the boundary of Golestan and Kazakhstan to promote trade cooperation and settle obstacles in the way of expanded relations in an expeditious way, reports Trend.
The two officials also discussed establishment of a consulate by Kazakhstan in the province's capital Gorgan.
The Kazakh embassy was set to follow up the request for a permit to set up the consulate.
