Iran's SNSC secretary: Any nuclear proposal should meet both sides' interests

(www.irna.ir.en) - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani said any proposal about Iran's nucluear issue should meet the interests of both sides.

Referring to the recent proposal of the UN atomic agency's chief al-Baradei, Larijani said since Iran's nuclear issue is a multifaceted subject, related proposals should be considered in a broader prospect in such a way as to compromise interests of both sides.

In a joint press conference with visiting Igor Ivanov his Russian counterpart, Larijani said certain mechanisms should be found to upgrade propasals in order to meet both sides' interests, reports Trend.

He termed as important Iavanov's visit to Tehran and said the Russian official conveyed messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin to Iran's Supreme Leader and also Iranian president.

Larijani said in talks with Ivanov they discussed a wide range of important international and regional issues along with Iran's nuclear case.
