Syrian culture minister arrived in Tehran

(www.irna.ir) - Syrian Minister of culture Ryadh Na'ssan-Agha, invited by his Iranian counterpart Mohammad-Hassan Saffar-Harandi to visit Iran, arrived in Tehran on Thursday evening.

He is leading a high ranking delegation including governor-general of Syrian province of Halab (Aleppo) and cultural director of the province, reports Trend.

Iranian city of Isafahan and Syrian city of Halab were selected in 2006 as the cultural capitals of the Islamic world and cultural weeks are scheduled to be held in both cities.

The Syrian delegation is to attend ceremonies of the cultural week of Halab in Isfahan. The cultural week of Isfahan in Halab will be held within 18-24 February.
