China lauds Iran's post-revolution achievements

(www.irna.ir) вЂ" Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu here on Wednesday lauded Iran's progress and development over the past three decades since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1799.

She voiced her country's determination to further expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields.

Referring to the historical and amicable ties between the two countries, she stressed that Tehran-Beijing relations have very much assisted the peace process in the region.

Beijing believes that disputes and problems should be settled through negotiation or other peaceful means, Yu added, reports Trend.

Tehran-Beijing trade exchanges stood at USD 14 billion in 2006 and is expected to top USD 20 billion by the end of 2007.
