Israeli prime minister in Ankara for talks with Turkish officials

(www.cihannews.com) вЂ" Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert arrived in Ankara for an official visit at the invitation of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

After visiting the mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Olmert will meet his Turkish counterpart at the Prime Ministry on Thursday.

Bilateral relations, Israel-Palestine dispute, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran issues are to be discussed at the meeting, reports Trend.

Erdogan is also expected to convey his criticisms on construction works initiated by Israel near the Al Aqsa Mosque, which is the third holiest place for Muslims.

Following his meeting with Turkish premier, Olmert will be received by Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul and Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the chairman of Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchange (TOBB).
