Government to make crucial decisions for Fars prov: Ahmadinejad

( IRNA ) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday that the government would make important decisions to help develop this southern province.

Ahmadinejad was speaking to reporters upon his arrival in the province along with members of his cabinet on a five-day visit.

He said Fars province enjoys unique potentials stressing that the development of Fars is development of the entire country.

" Fars province is the cradle of the Iranian civilization and culture," he said.

During his stay, the president is due to visit various provincial cities and meet local residents, war veterans and ulema.

He will preside over a cabinet session in Shiraz to discuss the province's problems and needs before returning to Tehran.

The president's current visit to this southern province is his 27th to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people.
