US officials' comments on Iran's nuclear rights biased, illogical

( IRNA ) - Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini here Friday reacting to US officials' recent remarks on Iran's nuclear rights called them biased and illogical.

According to Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Office, that has sent a copy of Hosseini's comments on the issue to IRNA Head Office, the spokesman added, "Using such phrases as 'wayward behavior of Iran', and 'unheeding the demands of others', are among the arrogant literature employed by US officials to manipulate the world public opinion against Iran's righteous stands."

He reiterated, "The great Iranian nation's emphasis on the need to achieve its absolute nuclear rights relying on its own indigenous achievements and its scientific advancement at the service of lasting development and the well being of the present day and future generations, fully in accordance with the articles of

NPT and the IAEA regulations, is strongly backed by the international community, despite the US propagation."

The Foreign Ministry spokesman considering positive the conduct of our country in performing its commitments towards the UN nuclear watchdog, added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is the most responsible and most reputable member of the agency that has done doubly its best in its capitation with the IAEA's diversified, broad, and unprecedented broad inspections."

He reiterated, "Our approach in all these respects is the best proof for the full transparency observed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in pursuing its peaceful nuclear activities."

The Foreign Ministry spokesman referring to the recent report of the IAEA Director General Muhamed Elbaradei on that Agency's assurance that Iran has not deviated from peaceful nuclear activities, said, "The most logical approach would be to return to the negotiations table, and to return Iran's nuclear dossier from the UN Security Council to the IAEA."
