By Azad Hasanli - Trend:

A World Bank review mission arrived in Baku to review the course of the "Real Estate Registration in Azerbaijan" project, the WB office in Azerbaijan told Trend Sept. 29.

The mission will be in Baku from September 29 to October 5, the office said. The review mission is led by project manager Gavin Adlington.

Currently, an international consultant, attracted on a tender basis, examines the existing situation in the field of real estate in Azerbaijan. The proposals will be prepared.

The government of Azerbaijan and WB signed an agreement in July 2007 on the project for creation of a system of unified real estate cadastre. The project consists of four components: registration of real estate, management and register of state property; basic cartography and land cadastre; trainings, policy formation and project management.

As a result of the restructuring, the project designed to cover the period from 2008 to 2012, was extended until late 2014.
The project's cost is $38.57 million and some $30 million of this amount falls to WB loan.
