According to coordination made with European private sector representatives, investment delegations from 10 European countries are to visit Iran by the end of this year, Director of Iran's Trade Center in the EU Shahrokh Mirza Hosseini said.

He said the countries include Hungary, Germany, Italy, France, and Scandinavian countries, Fars news agency reported August 29.

He also commented on measures undertaken by the center to help improve Iran-Europe trade.

One of the obstacles on the way of Iran's European trade is that many Iranians are not familiar with the European ways and conducts of trade, therefore the Iranian center was launched to create familiarity with Iranian tradesmen, he said.

"By launching the website www.tcoi.eu, we have created a list of foreign investment opportunities with full details which foreign companies can use to get to know what projects there are in Iran," he added.

Hosseini underlined that Iran is seeking to import capital goods and technology rather than consumer goods in the post-sanctions trade relations.

He said Iran has drafted two-way guaranteed investment deal with many European countries as well as MoUs on mutual tax exemption.

Expecting the removal of economic sanctions on Iran, many European trade delegations have visited Iran in recent months.

The sanctions are expected to be removed according to a deal made between Tehran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) on July 14.
