Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 20

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Nine European ambassadors to Iran will hold unofficial meetings with Iranian merchants this afternoon.

Several days after the Iranian parliament ratified the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on its nuclear agreement with world powers, and in the wake of beginning of the sanctions relief process on October 18, envoys of nine European countries will meet with Tehran Chamber of Commerce representatives, Tasnim news agency reported on October 20.

During the meeting, ambassadors of Germany , Italy , France , Switzerland , Spain , Austria , Belgium , the Netherlands , and Hungary will discuss conditions for their presence in the Iranian market after lifting of the sanctions.

According to the JCPOA, all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran will be terminated and in exchange Iran agrees to limit its nuclear activities. It also obliges Iran to allow intensive inspections.

US President Barack Obama on October 18 ordered his administration to take steps towards lifting sanctions on Iran in accordance with the JCPOA reached between Tehran and the P5+1 group of nations in July.

"I hereby direct you to take all appropriate additional measures to ensure the prompt and effective implementation of the US commitments set forth in the JCPOA, in accordance with US law," Obama said.

The directive comes 90 days after the UN Security Council endorsed the historic nuclear agreement with Iran .
