Iran’s non-oil trade balance hits $1.86B

Iran's non-oil trade balance remained positive for ninth consecutive month as the figure stood at $1.864 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21) to Dec. 22.

Iran's non-oil exports (including condensates) surpassed $32.031 billion during the first nine months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Dec. 22), indicating a fall by 11.16 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year, , the Iranian Customs Administration reported Dec. 29.

The exported goods were mainly raw material, as Petroleum gases and gas hydrocarbons, liquefied propane and bitumen topped the list of country's exports.

China, Iraq, the UAE, India and Afghanistan were the top Iranian goods importers during the 9-month period.

The Islamic Republic also imported $30.167 billion worth of goods during the period, 22.34 percent less in comparison with the same months of preceding year (March 21, Dec. 22, 2014).

The most important imported goods by Iran were: livestock corn with 3.5 percent share of overall imports, wheat (2.1 percent share), soybean (1.94 percent) and soybean meal(1.73 percent).

China, the UAE, South Korea, Turkey and Switzerland were the leading exporters of goods to Iran.
