Iran plans to launch medicines production line in Azerbaijan

Iran plans to launch medicine production line in Azerbaijan, Ali Rabeei, Iranian labor and social welfare minister said, ISNA news agency reported March 1.

The Iranian pharmaceutical company Pharma Chemie, which operates under the ministry will cooperate with Azerbaijan in producing medicines, he said.

The two parties will make joint investment on the issue, Rabeei said, adding the company's products meet the European standards.

Iranian medicines are exported to various countries including Azerbaijan, Iraq, Syria, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, he said.

He further said that Pharma Chemie company's product line will be launched also in Austria in the new future.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev received a delegation of Iranian pharmaceutical company Darou Pakhsh Feb. 29.
The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation in the sphere of production of drugs, in particular, the issue of joint production of drugs in Azerbaijan.
