Iran refines 178 billion cubic meters of gas

Iran has refined 178.1 billion cubic meters of gas during the last fiscal year (ended on March 21), Abdolhossein Samari, National Iranian Gas Company's deputy managing director for operations told Shana on May 5.

He said that the country's sweet gas production level increased by 6 percent year-to-year.

Iran says it has increased the capacity of raw gas production to about 255 bcm/y.

The country delivers about 13 bcm/y of raw gas to CNG and petrochemical plants, while 34 bcm/y is re-injected to oil fields to maintain crude oil production.

The country's flaring gas also stands at 11 bcm/d.
