Iran has dismissed the recent remarks by the officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq who suggested that the KRG and Tehran had agreed to export KRG's crude oil through the Islamic Republic.

"We have not reached any agreement with Iraq's Kurdistan on exporting the region's crude oil," Fars news agency quoted Seyyed Mohsen Qamsari, director of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), as saying May 10.

He added that the KRG has a pipeline for delivering its crude to Europe.

According to the Fars news agency, high-ranking KRG officials were quoted as saying that an agreement had been reached with Iran for swapping the Iraqi region's crude in the Persian Gulf.
