Over 600 foreign investors trade $72 million worth of stocks in Iran

Over 600 foreign investors trade shares at the Iranian capital market, an official with Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) has said.

Mohammad Reza Mohseni Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of the CSDI has said that 611 foreign investors have been registered in the Iranian capital market, IRNA news agency reported.

According to the CEO 21 out of the 611 foreign traders have entered the market over the last Iranian month ended May 20.

He further added that shareholders from France, Belgium, Portugal, Iraq, Pakistan, Germany, Lebanon and Afghanistan have received trading codes in the mentioned period.

He also said that the activity of foreign investors in Iran capital market has increased as they have traded over $72.1 million (2.2 trillion rials converted to USD according to official rate on June 12) of stocks over the last Iranian month.
