The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) hiked by 442.4 points or 0.58 percent on August 2, to end Tuesday trade at 77089.8.
According to the TSE official website, 925 million shares valued at about $64.4 million (1.2 trillion rials converted to US dollar according to the official rate on August 2) were traded at 74,880 transactions.
The stocks of Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company were among the companies that caused the growth in the market.
Alborz Cable Company, Dr. ABIDI Pharmaceutical Laboratory and Khorasan Steel Complex CO had the highest value increase.
The shares of Toos Gostar Investment Company, Neyshabour Sugar Company and Sabet Khorasan Sugar Factory saw the biggest decline in prices.
