By Khalid Kazimov – Trend:

Germany’s financial experts will train Iranian bankers in order to help the Islamic Republic to update its financial systems.

An informed source told Mehr news agency that Germany’s central bank will dispatch a group of trainers to Iran in future.

The report added that Iran’s Central Bank Chief Valiollah Seif is also expected to pay a visit to Germany in November to discuss expansion of banking ties.

During the upcoming visit Seif will discuss resuming the activity of European banks in Iran.

According to the report, Seif and the accompanying delegation will make efforts to upgrade the level of financial and monetary cooperation with European banks.

Although nuclear-related sanctions on Iran have been removed since Jan. 16, most of the European banks appear reluctant to work with Iran being worried about running afoul of the US regulations.
