Iran’s tanker company to offer shares at stock exchanges

National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) plans to offer its shares at the country’s capital market and international stock exchanges.
The head of the NITC, Sirous Kian-Ersi, has said that the company is currently preparing the groundwork for implementing the decision, IRNA news agency reported.
Saying that the NITC has taken several measures to pave the way for offering its shares at domestic and international stock exchanges, he added that the company will enter the capital market in the near future.
However, he ruled out the possibility that it will happen in the current Iranian calendar year (starting March 21).
The NITC is a large tanker company which has employed 69 ships with a capacity for carrying 15.5 million tons of cargo.
