Iran plans to increase diesel, gasoline prices

The Iranian government through its draft budget bill has proposed to increase the diesel price by 20 percent in the coming fiscal year (starting March 21).

The draft bill has predicted that the government’s income from the higher diesel prices will increase by $281.5 million (9.290 trillion rials), Tasnim news agency reported.

The draft bill has also called for increasing gasoline price by five percent.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani presented the government’s proposed budget bill for the next year this morning.

The draft budget has put the price of US dollar at 33,000 rials.
