Iran pays facilities to 22,000 industrial units

The Iranian government has paid 160 trillion rials ($4.9 billion, 32,452 rials per USD) to 22,433 industrial units in the country to help them back to their feet, according to Mohsen Salehinia, deputy minister of industry.

These facilities were given to small and mid-size units in the industrial, mineral, and agricultural sectors, he told reporters in a press conference, Trend correspondent reported March 12.

The units comprised of 9,500 industrial and mineral units, 10,700 agricultural units, and 3,150 unfinished projects, which themselves included 1,400 industrial and mineral units and 1,700 units with the Ministry of Agriculture, he said.

Of that amount of facilities, 120 trillion rials went to industrial and mineral units while 40 trillion rials to agricultural units, the official explained.

The average facilities paid to each uint was 19 billion rials in the industry and mine sectors and 3 billion rials in the agricultural sector, Salehinia stated.

According to the deputy minister, the absolute value of the total resource allocation to industry and production in the first 10 months of the current Iranian fiscal year (since March 20) reached 1.24 quadrillion rials. It counted for 29 percent of the entire facilities.

The total amount of facilities in the production sector during the same period was 860 billion rials with some 43 percent change in the absolute value, he further underlined.
