Details on Iran’s crude steel output

Iran’s capacity for producing crude steel has reached 30 million tons per year, IRNA news agency reported.

According to the report, the country’s domestic consumption of crude steel stands at about 35 million tons per year.

The report further added that the country plans to export at least 15 million tons of crude steel by 2025.

The country over the past Iranian calendar year (starting March 20), produced about 18.466 million tons of crude steel, 11 percent more year on year.

Iran’s exports of mining sector including steel over the last year, stood at 6.697 million tons valued at $2.699 million. The Islamic Republic’s exports of mining sector increased by 49 percent in volume and 0.3 percent in value compared to the preceding year.
