Iran unveiled its first home-made Mobile Boat Hoist (MBH), Iran’s Maritime News Agency (MANA) reported.
The MBH, which has the capability to lift 300-ton vessels, was manufactured in two years by Iran’s Shahid Zeinodin firm affiliated with the IRGC's engineering arm, Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters.
The IRGC-linked firm now is capable of manufacturing the MBHs with lifting power up to 1,100 tons, according to the report.
Shahid Zeinodin has also signed a contract with an Iranian shipbuilding company to manufacture a 500-ton MBH. The state-owned Iran Marine Fund will finance the project.
